In the Chemicals industry standard practices require customers to have formal Certificate of Analysis (CofA) documents before shipments can be received. i.Doc is used to produce personalized CofAs (e-Paper) linking orders and product lot inspections. CofAs are automatically routed to customers in advance to minimize delays in product shipment or receipt.

In order to automate the entire process, which includes the production of Certificates of Analyses and their distribtuion via fax, email or print, i.Doc Professional was integrated with the company's in-house DB2 ordering systems.

In the process i.Doc integrates with the DB2 system, converts the PDF, binds the PDF and corresponding attributes to the final CofA file and routes the CofA to the customer via e-Mail, fax or printer. With i.Doc the company was able to optimize and accelerate CofA production which significantly improved the whole shipment process.
