Administrator applet

The Administrator applet provides an array of professional tools to configure the i.Doc system, to establish precise and unified control to PDF and to monitor system performance.

Conversion profiles

i.Doc offers precise control when converting each application file format though a server based profile manager. The profile manager allows you to standardize PDF conversion. By centralizing the control of document conversion i.Doc ensures new levels of compliance with corporate standards. The system is flexible enough to enforce a policy (such as the inclusion of speaker notes with all PowerPoint slides), or it can leave this decision with the user.

Conversion Tasks

The task conversion tool enables you to configure quickly and easily the conversion process. For example, you can choose a file conversion process from a popular office format. Then, you can select to convert it to PDF. As the last step you may choose to convert the PDF to plain text file or RFT.

Monitoring progress

You can monitor all conversion activities on i.Doc using the Queue monitoring window. As an Administrator, you can also pause a document conversion, change its priority and see its status in the queue. You can also find the cause and the time history of a file that was not converted successfully (e.g., a password protected document).

System configuration

i.Doc can be fully configured using the administer applet. Items such as watched folders, polling time, email configuration, Documentum connection and more can be configured from your workstation. i.Doc services can also be stopped and restarted using this tool.
