Record Management in New York State

As New York State moved forward in using technology, it recognized the need for electronic record management.

Electronic record management helps government use technology to improve services. It's not technology for technology's sake, but rather fundamentally changing the way government works. The state encourages local government to implement record management by offering guidelines and grants to assist in the implementation process.

Financial Support

New York State provides financial support for records management and archives-related projects to local governments of all types and sizes. The primary purpose of the NYS grants is to help you establish or improve a records management program.
